Love one of the greatest words invented by mankind, easy to say but difficult to explain।It is something unconditional, most serene and most beautiful. Just like there are no reasons for which a child loves his mother, in the same way there is NO reason for which I love my Delhi. Still my Delhi has innumerable reasons which unarguably prove it best city in India and one of the best in world.Delhi or दिल्ल ी or دہلی or ਦਿੱਲੀ is the great capital of great country of India, my INDIA, This point itself explains why I love Delhi or why I am in love with Delhi. Delhi has charm of its own which is both unique and bewildering. The present Indian capital Delhi is believed to be the site of Indraprastha, capital of the Pandavas in the Indian epic Mahabharata. In later years, according to the ancient texts, parts of the city came to be known as Hastinapur or "the city of elephants Delhi was the capital of several Hindu, Mughal, Rajput, Turkic and Afghan empires. As a consequence, Delhi has a history of blending itself with several different cultures. After Delhi was declared as the capital of the Republic of India, people across India migrated to Delhi, adding to its cultural diversity another reason for loving it. I love Delhi for all its old things- a low rise skyline, elegant bungalows with high ceilengs, verandas and flower gardens, and the dusty crusty frontier quality of many of the bazaars. Where in India other than Delhi will you find such a blend of history and modernisation, from forts to multistoreyed buildings, from road side kachoriwalahs to magnamious five star hotels, from ponds to rivers, from traditional old houses to ultra modern houses equipped with all modern equipments. Great dining at Defence Colony, incredible galli of paranthas at Chandani Chowk, the outdoor flea market at Janpath, where kids will try to sell you trinklets and where its all about your bargaining power. I just adore Delhi for the simple fact, I get to hear a lot of "hindi" here. Not like Mumbai's "apun" n "tapun" and also unlike Bihar's "hamar" n "tohar". Delhites have sense of speaking good hindi might not be pure but best for sure. Another fact which makes Delhi such a beautiful place to live is its geographical situation. Situated on slightly left of India, exactly at the place of human's heart, Delhi experiences all kinds seasons. This provides a beautiful change to Delhites, not only it leads to a variety of clothes but also the food etc. some other prominent cities such as mumbai, chennai etc more or less faces the same type of climate throughout the year due to their nearness to sea. Cant I forget mentioning the brilliant wholesale markets of Delhi out of which Sadar Bajaar,Chandni Chowk,Gandhi Nagar are just to name a few. They just don't provide easy and and economical shopping but also makes delhi the source of channelizing the distribuiton odf various goods not only throughout the country but also in abroad besides providing much needed employment opportunities to its residents and outsiders. One more quality of Delhi is that it is expanding , unlike Mumbai which is surrounded by water from all three sides, Delhi was surrounded by forests which are now developing as NCR(National Capital Region) because of rapid urbanisation in Delhi. Places like Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida are developing as blitzkreig pace. The outskirts of Delhi are swelling and now a days these places have so proximate and approachable due to developed transportaion means that they are kind of treated as part of Delhi and have become indispensable part of it. Where else in the country can we find a city which can approximately absorb 2 lakhs of people anually from different parts of the country and yet is been able to provide two times meal to all. It really feels great to be born and brought up in this great city॥ Delhi has exclusive in all words largest CNG bus service. This adds another feather in the crown of Delhi of its being the best city in India. This step by Indian Government has have a great affect on Delhi's air. Its now more refreshing and that can very well be proved by the increase in inflow of migrating birds in Delhi and its nearby areas. Another milestone achieved by Delhi govt. which has made Delhi stand in the que of most modern city in the world is the establishment of local train service popularly known as "Delhi Metro". A point to ponder and to feel proud about Delhi Metro is that it is one of the only two metro services in whole world which is profitable, other being of Tokyo, Japan. I would like to end with highlighting yet another point of paramount importance, both for Delhi as well as India. For the first time in history India has got chance to host prestigious Common Wealth Games. And the place chosen for the celebration of this great sports festival is our lovingly Delhi. Isnt it a point to feel proud ? Definitely it is and I am sure the only thing which has bagged delhi this opportunity is our love for the city. A city whose every single resident works untiringly for its betterment and its prosperity. इन लव विथ Dएल्ही....
